Clinical Psychologist, Founder
Dr. Aaron Allred is a licensed clinical psychologist and the founder of Excel Psychology. He specializes in psychological and neuropsychological assessment for children, adolescents, and adults. His expertise includes complex diagnostic cases such as ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, learning disorders, and emotional or behavioral difficulties.
Dr. Allred is known for integrating comprehensive testing with practical, personalized feedback that helps clients and families better understand their strengths, challenges, and next steps.
He began his academic journey at Brigham Young University (BYU), exploring a variety of fields before discovering his passion for psychology during a two-year mission in Seattle, Washington. Engaging with people and hearing their personal stories sparked his interest in understanding human behavior and the factors that shape mental health.

Dr. Allred gained extensive experience in psychological testing and assessment, working in treatment centers, outpatient settings, and university settings. Early in his career, he also focused on evaluating children and adolescents, learning to navigate the complexities of development, learning disorders, attention difficulties, and emotional challenges.
Dr. Allred’s research explored the intersection of mental health and work productivity, emphasizing how psychological factors impact career development. He has worked under leading experts in outcome research, integrating quantitative testing with personalized clinical observations to inform treatment strategies.
During a year-long internship in Miami, Dr. Allred expanded his expertise in projective testing and developed a deeper understanding of diverse client populations. He returned to BYU to support students with mental health needs, conduct ADHD and learning disorder evaluations, and supervise interns in psychological testing.
Dr. Allred believes in collaboration, both with his clients and the wider mental health community, to ensure the most effective and individualized care possible.
