Hello! My name is Kenzie, and I am happy you are here. If you are reading this, I applaud you, you are seeking more support in your life. Asking for help is hard to do, and I want to recognize you in doing so. I am a product of therapy myself, and I can tell you that it kept me going in my darkest times. What I learned, the support and self-confidence I gained, and the purpose I found were just a few things from therapy that have helped me throughout my life. Since I saw so many incredible benefits from therapy, I wanted to pay it forward and help others through the struggles they may be facing. I was introduced to the therapeutic world in 2016 as a mentor at a residential treatment center while I was attending school at Utah State University. I quickly fell in love with the work, but I also quickly realized I wanted to do more than I was qualified to do. I graduated from USU and worked my way through various positions, but I still could not help in the way I wanted without a higher education. I left the treatment world to pursue a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Utah Tech University.
I also taught part-time at Utah Tech in the Psychology Department and received training in recreational therapy and mediation. This additional experience built on my ability to treat clients through a wide systemic lens. I use a systemic approach, which includes creating a safe space for clients’ stories to be heard. I believe people are not their problems, but problems come from varying components through our walks of life. I help clients see their true worth and discover their authenticity despite the problems they are facing. With a deep understanding of relational dynamics and a commitment to evidence-based therapeutic approaches; I create a supportive and non-judgmental environment where clients can explore their feelings, enhance communication skills, and develop strategies for coping with stress and conflict. I enjoy active listening, validating, and empathizing with every client I treat. I am genuine and caring when working with clients and assisting them to find their true happiness. I learned at an early age that everyone has challenges, and support makes going through the weight of those challenges lighter. Through collaborative therapy sessions, I empower clients to build resilience, strengthen connections, and achieve greater personal and interpersonal satisfaction. I am dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges and achieve lasting positive change.
