About Us

Lori Reinke, LMFT

When I was a child, my friends had lemonade stands.  I had an “advice stand” very much like Lucy in the Peanuts comics.  Being a therapist was always my goal and service to others was modeled by my parents who chose people oriented professional paths.  As a teenager,  I struggled with depression and anxiety  which made my transition to adulthood painful and lonely.  I found my way with the help and inspiration of therapists.  I went on to earn the degrees and license needed to be a therapist myself. However, my place as a “wounded healer” is my highest credential.  My goal as a professional is to help people feel heard and understood so that a space for healing can be created.  I believe in candid feedback and supportive exploration of psychological concerns.  You will never need to wonder what my thoughts are on a topic.

With 35 years of experience, I rely on a variety of therapeutic tools help to achieve progress including solution focused, CBT and DBT as well as EMDR.  I believe in tailoring therapy to meet the needs of clients by working with individual learning preferences. I do a great deal of work with anxiety, depression and trauma. I also have a strong interest in  life transitions, aging and relationships. The Gottma method is my go to approach when working with couples.

I am originally from Chicago but fell in love with the western US when I lived in Phoenix for many years.   When I’m away from the office, I enjoy the company of my two adult children, other family and friends.  I enjoy travel, good food and animal rescue.  My favorite dog breed is of course the beagle.

I am looking forward to working alongside you to achieve your goals and discover your resilience.  We can do this together.
