When I was a child, my friends had lemonade stands. I had an “advice stand” very much like Lucy in the Peanuts comics. Being a therapist was always my goal and service to others was modeled by my parents who chose people oriented professional paths. As a teenager, I struggled with depression and anxiety which made my transition to adulthood painful and lonely. I found my way with the help and inspiration of therapists. I went on to earn the degrees and license needed to be a therapist myself. However, my place as a “wounded healer” is my highest credential. My goal as a professional is to help people feel heard and understood so that a space for healing can be created. I believe in candid feedback and supportive exploration of psychological concerns. You will never need to wonder what my thoughts are on a topic.
